Dr. Yarish Calls The New Emsculpt Body Sculpting Treatment A ‘Game Changer’

The brand new Emsculpt body-shaping technology is the first and only device that addresses desires or problems with both muscle and fat simultaneously. “Moreover, this is not just an improvement or adaptation of previous systems; it is a totally brand new technology,” said Houston plastic surgeon R. Scott Yarish, M.D., of Town and Country Plastic Surgeons and ReNew You MD.
Emsculpt is ideal for individuals who are particularly interested in fitness and want to increase muscle mass and reduce fat at the same time but don’t have the time or ability to exercise as much as they would like. This rapid vibrational treatment uses a unique magnetic field that creates what is called “supramaximal contractions” of muscle fibers, up to 20,000 contractions in a single 30-minute treatment. “That’s like doing thousands of sit-ups while laying on a table playing on your phone or taking care of business,” added Dr. Yarish.
What is so thrilling about the Emsculpt treatment is that it not only increases the diameter of muscle fibers (hypertrophy), but it also increases the number of muscle fibers (hyperplasia). Moreover, this technology simultaneously kills fat cells when used on the abdomen or thighs.
Dr. Yarish also noted that there is a special setting for the buttocks that creates the same supra-maximal muscle contractions without fat burning that occurs when used in other areas. “This is perfect for those who want a firmer, more elevated look to their buttocks,” stated Dr. Yarish.
Emsculpt is FDA-cleared for the strengthening, toning and firming of the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. “I continue to see an increase in the number of men and women that are in relatively good shape coming in looking for a solution to define their abdominal area and achieve the coveted 6-pack abs,” shared Dr. Yarish.
There are two important caveats when considering this treatment. Dr. Yarish warns that this is not a substitute for a healthy diet and regular exercise. Emsculpt increases the definition of the treated areas in a most remarkable way, but exercise has benefits for the body as a whole that this new form of body contouring can’t provide.
American Health & Beauty gave an overall review of Emsculpt five stars (out of five). But there is also much to be considered when choosing the right plastic surgeon. Living Magazine reported, “You might know R. Scott Yarish, M.D., is a trusted and talented dual board-certified plastic surgeon at Town and Country Plastic Surgeons. You might not realize he’s also a licensed pilot, a sculptor, a philanthropist, an avid golfer and a married father of four. It’s no wonder he was recently dubbed ‘The Most Interesting Man in the Room’ during a Women Driving Business event held by the Houston West Chamber of Commerce.”
For optimal results, Dr. Yarish recommends four 30-minute treatment sessions over the course of a two-week period. Optimal results can be seen 4 to 8 weeks post-treatment, with continued improvement up to 6 months.
