TCA Peels Houston and Lake Jackson, TX
What are TCA Peels?
Skin texture can dramatically improve the results of facial procedures. Skin resurfacing can be done in many forms, but Dr. Yarish and Dr. Bartlett use a TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peel to restore and rejuvenate skin texture.
TCA peel can be combined with most surgical procedures and dramatically improves the quality of the skin. Typically done under general anesthesia, the peel allows for the top layers of skin to be shed and allows new skin with more collagen to be produced. The newly formed skin has improved texture and luster. This results in reduced fine lines and wrinkles.
The face should be prepped with a retinol 4-6 weeks before the procedure to allow the skin to be primed for the peel. Our aestheticians will formulate a skin care regimen individualized to you and your skin care needs. The peel only adds a few minutes to the procedure and patients wake up with minimal, if any, discomfort.

What is The Recovery For TCA Peels?
After the peel, it is important to keep the skin hydrated and moist. Your skin will be dry, and you will start to peel around day 3. Peeling first starts around the mouth and then the remaining face will shed over 5-7 days. During this time, it is very important to stay out of the sun. Our aestheticians will help you during the process to ensure you are comfortable with your skin care regimen.
