It is important to understand that breast surgery addresses two distinct issues:
- Augmentation (Implants) addresses Volume. It fills the cup.
- Lift (Mastopexy) addresses Position. It tightens sagging skin and raises the nipple.

The Procedure: What to Expect

- Surgical Time: The procedure typically takes 2–3 hours under general anesthesia in our accredited surgical facility.
- Incision Patterns: Because we must remove excess skin to reshape the breast, scarring is more extensive than a simple augmentation. The most common technique uses an “anchor” incision (around the areola, vertically down to the crease, and along the fold).
- Scar Management: While scars are inevitable, our surgeons place them in inconspicuous areas where they can be hidden by bras and swimwear. We provide scar management protocols early in your recovery to ensure they fade as much as possible.
Recovery & Healing
We believe in complete transparency about the recovery process so you can plan accordingly.
- First Week: You should plan to take about one week off from work. You will be able to shower and walk around, but you should avoid driving while taking pain medication.
- Activity Restrictions: No heavy lifting or straining for 4 to 6 weeks. This is critical to allow both the muscle (holding the implant) and the skin incisions to heal securely.
- Exercise: High-impact activities like jogging, biking, or weightlifting should be paused for at least 6 weeks.
- The Result: You will see an immediate improvement in shape. Over the following 2–3 months, the implants will settle into their natural position (“drop and fluff”), and the breast shape will soften into its final, beautiful contour.

Will addressing everything at once look natural?
