A facelift for men is fundamentally different from a facelift for women. Men have distinct facial anatomy, thicker skin, and hair growth patterns that require a specialized surgical approach.

Our “Masculine Preservation” Technique:

Definition vs. Softening: While female surgery often aims for soft curves, male surgery focuses on re-establishing a strong, angular jawline and chin. We lift tissues vertically to avoid the “windswept” or pulled look that reveals surgery.
Beard & Hairline Awareness: Incisions are meticulously planned to preserve your natural sideburns and beard growth patterns, ensuring no awkward gaps or visible scars interfere with your grooming routine.
Volume Management: Men typically require less volume restoration (fat grafting) than women. We use conservative grafting only where needed—typically the nasolabial folds or chin—to maintain a rugged, natural structure.

The Procedure: Precision & Safety

Surgical Details

Duration: 3–4 hours.
Anesthesia: General anesthesia is used for your safety and comfort.
Incision Placement: Incisions are hidden discreetly around the ear and extend into the hairline. On many occasions, a small incision is placed in the natural crease under the chin to address the “turkey neck” and remove deep fat.

Managing Unique Male Risks Men have a higher risk of hematoma (bleeding) after surgery due to thicker skin and higher blood pressure. To mitigate this and ensure your safety, we utilize a special blood pressure patch for 3 days post-surgery to keep your levels stable and minimize bruising risks.

Our “Comprehensive Rejuvenation Concept”

We believe that surgery is just one part of the transformation. Unlike standard practices, we offer a holistic Comprehensive Rejuvenation Concept designed to prepare your tissue before surgery and accelerate healing afterward.

The Protocol:

Pre-Op: You will begin a specialized skin care regimen 2 weeks before surgery to prime your skin.
Post-Op Therapy: Your surgical package includes weekly visits with our medical aestheticians for Lymphatic Massage and Ultrasound Treatments.
The Benefit: These painless treatments significantly reduce swelling, inflammation, and bruising, allowing you to return to the boardroom faster with smoother results.

Recovery: Back to Business

We know you have professional responsibilities. Our recovery timeline is designed to be predictable and manageable.

Day 1: You will be seen the morning after surgery to have your hair washed and incisions cleaned. You will wear a small elastic dressing to minimize swelling.
The First Week: Rest is essential. You may feel tight or groggy, but discomfort is well-managed with medication. You can shower daily but must wear your elastic bandage around the clock for 7 days.
Return to Work: Most men feel “socially presentable” and return to desk work within 10–14 days.
Activity: Sedentary work is fine after two weeks. If you have a physically demanding job or heavy workout routine, we recommend waiting 3–4 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it look obvious?

This is the #1 concern for our male patients. Our philosophy is that a successful facelift should be undetectable. Colleagues often ask if our patients have “lost weight” or “been on vacation,” but rarely suspect surgery.

How long do results last?

A facelift effectively sets the clock back 8–10 years. While you will continue to age naturally, you will always look younger than you would have without the procedure.

What about scarring?

Incision placement is critical. We hide scars in the natural contours of the ear and hairline. We also start you on a specialized scar gel immediately after surgery to ensure incisions fade to fine, barely perceptible lines.
